The service pod system incorporates a number of service pods which are typically either square, rectangle, or octagonal in shape. These would usually have the gas, water and electrical services located on the work surface. A number of freestanding tables are then used for pupils to work on. As the tables are freestanding it allows for the layout of the working area to be cha nged.
The pedestal type furniture system utilises storage units with a plinth. These mount directly onto the floor of the laboratory with the work surface fixing directly onto the top of the storage units. This system of furniture is sometimes used in conjunction with the service pod system.
The steel framework system comprises of a series of epoxy powder coated metal support legs linked together with metal span rails constructed from 51mm x 38mm channel. The legs can be either cantilever, ‘C’ frame or ‘A’ frame depending on the maximum weight load rating required for the benching. Leg frames are constructed from 50x25x15 ERW. The required work surface is then fixed to the steel framework. The benching can then utilise our range of mobile type underbench storage units.
